God in Government
This study examines God’s role in government.
Elevator Speech
God had no intention for government to exist. He instead wanted direct communion with creation.
Government is a result of human sin which warrants laws and a judicial system that evaluates actions against the laws.
God shows no preference for a particular structure of government, and his will can be done within any form of government.
God desires for his creation to depend on him for leadership and physical needs.
We are to support any authority above us (since it was established by God) so long as there is no conflict with our faith. This includes our participation in voting, local politics, etc. in order to prevent conflicts with our faith.
